Keep Iowa Beautiful Mission Statement
Keep Iowa Beautiful’s mission is to empower Iowans to make Iowa the cleanest and most attractive state in the nation.
KIB is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated in engaging Iowans to take greater responsibility for improving their community environment and enhancing the beauty of their state through litter prevention, reduction and beautification programs.

- Assist communities and organizations in cleanup and beautification projects
- Conduct research studies that will help to understand the reasons some people litter and show a lack of respect for land and property.
- Provide anti-littering and beautification education programs.
- Increase public awareness of the costs of littering and community cleanliness.
- Encourage regional groups and communities to become Keep Iowa Beautiful affiliate/partner members.
- Conduct market research.
