Keep Iowa Beautiful 2011 annual awards were presented recently for enhancing the cleanliness and attractiveness of the state of Iowa. The four award categories were corporate, organization, community and individual. The awards were presented at the 7th Annual First Impressions Symposium held on May 4, 2011.
The KIB award program is designed to recognize special people and organizations that have gone the extra mile to make our communities more attractive places to live, work and raise a family.
Individual Award – Jennifer Nissen for successfully guiding the Keep Iowa State University Beautiful.
Corporate Award - Casey's General Stores for continued support and funding of KIB programs.
Organization Award - Iowa Department of Natural Resources for leadership efforts with the Beautification and Derelict Buildings grant program.
Community Award - Hometown Hope (Afton) for efforts to enhance community involvement, volunteer commitment and community advancement.
